Valentini

The spirit of Cupid is in the air, and this year he’s aiming his bow at people with cystic fibrosis and their families. Yes, it’s the third annual Valentini event, hosted by the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Toronto and District Chapter, one of 52 branches across the country. And while February usually means romance, this will be an occasion to focus on love for your fellow human being.
After generating over $13,000 last year, the foundation is hoping to surpass its fundraising goals to raise awareness about the inherited fatal disorder. Over 200 people are expected to attend the posh Alleycatz lounge on February 11th, for an evening of hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, entertainment, and a silent auction. With a $40 ticket, guests can expect to meet master of ceremonies and weatherman, Global TV’s Anthony Farnell, and take home an Oscar-style gift bag.
