Gagliato – Photo Exhibition & Book Launch

An intimate perspective of a small, beautiful community in southern Italy, that is a representation of the many emigration-striken towns around Italy, if not the world. The exhibit held on September 18th, 2008, featured a collection of black and white photographs of Nicola Gareri and his daughter, Stephanie, who retraced memories of their family history. Guests enjoyed an elegant evening and indulged in cheeses, fresh fruit and homemade desserts. The book Gagliato is a lively depiction of the town and community, and is the first publication for Nicola and Stephanie. www.studio-on-the-avenue.com
