In support of anti-bullying day on March 1st, 2009, the Playful Explorations in Active Conflict-Resolution Education (P.E.A.C.E.) organization celebrated its annual Pink Bowling fundraiser. If you’re wondering why the colour pink, it’s because a male student from Nova Scotia went to school wearing pink and was teased by others. The very next day, two older male students took a stand declaring a Sea of Pink Day and wore pink shirts. This student-run, volunteer-based organization aims to teach Grade 5 students conflict resolution strategies and anti-bullying concepts. peacebypeace.sa.utoronto.ca
