Tremonti0A definitive leader in fine Italian dining for over a decade, Tremonti Ristorante has pleased the palates of Vaughan residents since 1986. This long-term success is without a doubt a testament to its gastronomic flair and steadfast commitment to culinary achievements.

Named after three famous mountains in the Abruzzo region of Italy, Tremonti is known for its fresh seafood and fine-cut meats. With such unique dishes as the renowned pappardelle and wild bore, Tremonti’s menu is anything but boring. “A lot of people come here for our homemade gnocchi in a pheasant ragu,” says owner Claudio Librando. “And of course, our wine list is designed to quench any demand.” Read more

Shyne0Some of the best businesses begin in the daydreams of passionate people who are crazy about their craft. After years of diligent work, esthetician Claudia Bruno took her heart’s desires and opened up Salon Shyne by Claudia’s Esthetics in the centre of Vaughan. “I’ve been in the business for 12 years,” beams Claudia. “I set goals for myself and now I have Salon Shyne by Claudia’s Esthetics.”

Claudia’s aspirations became a reality in early June of this year when she proudly cut the ribbon for her full-service salon that has been successfully catering to the needs of the community. Claudia aimed to establish a place that reached outside the realms of your typical hairdresser or esthetics bar. Understanding that her clients’ lives are busy enough as it is, she created a place where people can get pampered. Offering a wide range of hair and esthetic services, customers don’t have to waste time and money Read more

He’s dressed in a light-coloured suit and dress shirt of a royal blue. Sipping on his morning coffee, Cy’s face is never without smile or nostalgic expression, as he delves into the storied past of his domestic and international conglomeration, Tokmakjian Group, a prodigy in the transportation business.

Headquartered in Ontario’s industrial community of Concord, Tokmakjian Group was conceived from childhood dreams and born via skilled experience. During a time when deals were sealed with a handshake, Cy set out solo at 29, unbeknown to what the future had in store for him. “I remember shaking hands with Tony DeGasperis, when we were both small businessmen beginning our journeys,” Cy, 69, reflects.
