4th Annual Golf Tournament: Immaculate Conception Parish

A sunny afternoon swinging clubs in the sun has never been more fun – especially when it’s for a great cause! Blessed with the Holy Spirit, the Parish of Immaculate Conception brought its spirit of gamesmanship to the greens. The enthusiastic golfers were on the move with the tournament, shortly after a delicious afternoon barbeque. After a stimulating game, members of the parish gathered together to say grace to a gourmet steak dinner. Villa Mediterraneo Association – Dancing Under The Stars

The Congo 101 Teach in and Strike a Cord Benefit Concert

The wounds of rape, abuse and sexual assault for the women of the Democratic Republic of Congo will likely scar them forever, but V-Day Toronto attempts to stop the bleeding by preventing and bandaging it. Bringing spotlight to women behind bars, women of tragic tales educated the heartfelt guests about their personal experiences; as well as the history and extreme cases of sexual violence occurring in the war zones of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Runway for Ride Charity Fashion Show

Lights, camera, action! Joining Canadian supermodel Coco Rocha, 20 elite models marched down the runway to support childhood cancer research. Prior to the remarkable show and silent auction, held for the Sears National Kids Cancer Ride, 36 riders dedicated to cycling rode across Canada to raise money and awareness for cancer. Over two hundred of Oakville’s high-level golfers brought their best clubs forward on May 28th, 2009, for the Oakville Chamber of Commerce’s 55th Annual Golf Tournament.
